What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a private school review from August 2022. Reviews of private schools are narrower than those of state schools: ERO checks whether the school still meets the legal criteria for registration, covering its premises, staffing, equipment, curriculum, tuition standards, managers and student safety.
ERO found the school met every criterion, including regular review of the policies and procedures that keep students physically and emotionally safe, and concluded that the school meets the requirements to remain registered as a private school.
ERO also reviewed the school’s care of international students and its boarding hostel. International students felt well supported by staff and peers and took part in leadership and extra-curricular activities, and the school was refining its orientation programme after its own review.
In the hostel, ERO found current policies, clear ways for boarders to raise safety concerns, secure houses and leave procedures, and daily access to a nurse.

Enrolling
St Peter’s is a private school, so tuition fees apply and are set out on the school’s fees page. Families complete an application form, may be invited to a family interview with a member of the senior leadership team, and receive a written offer if successful; the place is confirmed once the documents are returned and the acceptance fee is paid.
The school says there is no entrance examination, and applications for later years can be lodged as an expression of interest.
